Join us for a unique family friendly living history event with combat displays and activities, all set in the beautiful village of Rockbourne.
Saturday 10 August and Sunday 11 August. (Tickets are for 1 day)
Enjoy multi-period living history displays spanning Rockbourne Roman Villa's archaeological story; from the Iron Age to the Saxons. Our Anglo-Saxon past will be brought to life by the authentic Herigeas Hundas, and discover more about Roman life and combat history with The Butser Roman Legion. They will also be joined by The Vicus, for an exciting exploration of our ancient past. Come face to face with Saxon Warriors and Roman Soldiers, and learn more about the site's Iron Age past. There will also be the chance to take a tour of the remains of the roman villa with an archaeologist.
There will also be Ferret Racing to mark the sites amazing discovery story, interactive storytelling for families with Merry go Round Storytelling, shield decorating for children, children's trail and tours of the site.
There's truly something for everyone!
The The Giggling Gourmets will also be here, serving up delicious hot food. Ice cream, snacks and cold drinks are also for sale.
Free parking. Dogs welcome. Fully accessible.
Tickets are for one day. Gates open at 10am.
