UVI Presents, "Raised By Wolves," Award winning film one night only screening
Thursday, November 9, 2023, 1900 - 2100
United Vision for Idaho proudly presents, "Raised by Wolves," a one-night special screening in Boise with a Q and A following with the film's director and producers.
The award winning film, Raised by Wolves, is a documentary by Dana Coester and Joel Beeson which peers into online youth culture in Appalachia, revealing the risks of radicalization through the exposure to weaponized misinformation.
Producer/director Dana Coester is a professor and creative director for the West Virginia University Media Innovation Center who will be in Boise to present the film; she leads a team of researchers investigating the intersections of organized anti-democratic extremist efforts across the globe, and mis/disinformation tactics across rural communities.
Joel Beeson is an award winning producer/director and professor at West Virginia University College of Media.
This special engagement by UVI will showcase Coester and Beeson's ongoing investigative research and their collaboration with UVI as they build foundational relationships for a front-facing pro-democracy movement across rural states.
A separate conference and reception will be held in conjunction with the screening.
Tickets to the screening are free and available directly from United Vision for Idaho
