Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church welcomes the Sean Drabitt Trio!

Renowned bassist Sean Drabitt assembles an All-Star trio for his Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church debut!
Victoria native Sean Drabbit has made a name for himself as a first-call bassist beginning right here in Victoria, then moving quickly down to New Orleans where he played with a Who’s Who of New Orleans Jazz including every member of the Marsalis family, then a decade on the scene in New York City playing with his contemporaries and many jazz luminaries!
Sean returned to his home city of Victoria and became one of the important instigators of the local music scene bringing internationally acclaimed artists such as Kenny Wheeler, George Colligan and many others to Victoria and inspiring a generation of jazz musicians to follow in his footsteps.
Fast forward to the present day, Sean Drabitt is back in his favourite stomping grounds of New York City with occasional returns to Canada‘s West Coast!
For the special trio concert, Sean brings together some longtime musical friends to celebrate the world of straight-ahead piano-trio jazz!
Featuring renowned English pianist Nicolas Peck and drummer John Lee, with bassist Sean Drabitt at the helm!
Admission by donation ($20 suggested but all are welcome!)
