The Edible Salad Garden
Thursday, March 27, 2025, 1900 - 2100
The North Shore Horticultural Society welcomes you to join us at our March meeting, where Chef Liz Barbour will show us her cottage garden that follows no rules. Garden design ideas and recipe ideas will be shared. This slide presentation focuses on her favorite edible flowers. The combination of formal and informal elements in a plan that allows her to add plants that she chooses on impulse or receives as gifts. A cottage garden gives the freedom to mix fruits and vegetables with edible and non-edible ornamentals in a variety of ways.
Liz Barbour is a warm, relaxed, and entertaining communicator that you may know from her role as a cooking instructor with Liz Barbour's Creative Feast. Liz is an avid home gardener and often uses her own fresh herbs and edible flowers in her cooking demonstrations and features photographs of her cottage-style garden in many of her programs.
Presentation is free for members. Non-members are welcome with a nominal $5 fee.
