Mr. Luck and Ms. Doom is my favorite so far. A while back Amy begged me to write her some romantic songs where no one died and nothing went wrong. I sure tried. At least I got one done that way before it fell apart and I began writing romantic tunes where a wheel falls off here and there. I just couldn't help it. In the end Mr. Luck and Ms. Doom is a record of misfits and grifters, half in love or running from it, and they live out of suitcases and cars, hoping that in the next town or city will be the score that saves them. We can't wait to play these new ones live and we feel so lucky to be a band, that we still get to drive around in a van, and play gigs in Europe. - Willy Vlautin
