The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh is delighted to perform for the first time at St. Vincent College in the opening weekend of its 10th Anniversary Season. COP performs on Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. Vincent with a compelling program that combines its commitment to celebrating music from contemporary to the classics. The program opens with Iranian-American composer and Carnegie Mellon University Professor Emeritus, Reza Vali and his “Calligraphy No. 19.” Soprano Chantal Braziel, a St. Vincent alumna, follows with a performance of Osvaldo Golijov’s Three Songs for Soprano and Orchestra. The second half of the concert presents one of Tchaikovsky’s masterpieces, his Serenade for Strings. Admission is free.
