Thames Valley Food and Drink Festival
Saturday, June 22, 2024 -- Sunday, June 23, 2024, 1100 - 1700
The fourth edition of The Thames Valley Food and Drink Festival - www.thamesvalleyfestival.co.uk - kicks off again at Brightwell Vineyard, just outside of Wallingford, Oxfordshire, over the weekend of 22-23 June 2024. The line-up includes over 30 lip-smacking independent food and drink producers drawn from the Thames Valley region, including eight independent English wine producers.
The Festival features wine and food tastings, self-guided walks among the vine rows, crafted food stalls, and seating to eat, drink and listen to live jazz, and popular melodies. Relax in a beautiful setting with glorious views, while you eat, drink and enjoy.
A tantalising array of artisan fare is designed to tempt the taste-buds of visitors from far and wide. You'll be surprised at the quality and range of food and drink now produced in the historic Thames Valley. Brightwell Vineyard will be showing a wide range of its award-winning wines, including Pinot Noir, Sparkling Chardonnay and its prestigious English Brandy. Plenty of seating and tables are available, so you can purchase and enjoy a delicious lunch after tasting at an array of vendors. Then enjoy the live, easy listening music while sipping your choice of beverages.
Wine buffs (and bluffs) can taste English wines from leading local vineyards including Brightwell, Dawes Hill, Fairmile, Jojo's, Freedom of the Press, Laithwaites,Hendred and more. Each offering subtly different white, rose, red and sparkling wines grown on the mineral rich soils of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Hills.
Street food vendors will ensure nobody leaves hungry with a variety of delicious food stalls. The Horsebox Coffee is back too, offering a range of hot drinks including freshly ground coffees. Plus the Tipsy Cow will serve whole milk ice-cream from cows grazed in the Thames Valley. The Festival is hosting a range of preserved and prepared food vendors for everyone to browse, and take home something special. Maybe sample local charcuterie, biltong or Johnny Hot Stuff's chilli sauces.
Also featuring at the Festival is the Wallingford Charity Welly Wang! How far can you throw the boot! Come and find out if you can toss as far as the best tossers! Of course you can also just chill out, laugh, eat and drink and listen to the music in the vineyard setting. See you there!
