Talks and readings on "The Compassion of Bodhisattvas"
Saturday, June 8, 2024, 1445 - 1815
"The Compassion of Bodhisattvas" is a gathering where we explore Buddhism's ideas on Bodhisattvas, from the universal perspective of Theosophy. In Buddhism, the Bodhisattvas are those who have taken a spiritual, non-theistic path, and reached a high degree of enlightenment.
Theosophy recognises other great reformers and thinkers, such as the Zoroasters, Krishna, Plato, Lao Tzu and Christ, all of whom attained degrees of Bodhisattvaship.
Join us in Bayswater or online for enlightening discussions and readings from sacred Buddhist texts.
As we explore together the powerful social ideals of compassion and responsibility - the basis of civilised society - our intellects will be stimulated, our hearts brightened, and we will learn the wisdom of the world's great philosophies.
