"Take a Taste Out of Crime" wine, beer, and Wisconsin cheese tasting fundraiser
Friday, March 28, 2025, 1700 - 2100
If you've been invited to "Take a Taste Out of Crime," it's not a misquote of McGruff the Crime Dog—it's your invitation to Racine Neighborhood Watch Inc.'s fourteenth annual wine, beer, and Wisconsin cheese tasting fundraiser. The event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Roma Lodge, 7130 Spring St.
This popular after-work event offers a relaxed evening of wine and beer samplings (with souvenir tasting glasses), paired with Wisconsin's finest cheeses. Guests can mingle with friends while enjoying hot hors d'oeuvres, vegan options, and nonalcoholic beverages. Live music from the Community Service Quartet (CSQ) will provide the evening's entertainment, setting the perfect atmosphere for this social and fundraising event.
SILENT AUCTIONS AND RAFFLES
A highlight of the evening is the vast selection of silent auction items, with over 100 items displayed across two banquet halls. Attendees can bid on an array of goods and services, including household items, sports memorabilia, entertainment packages, and themed gift baskets.
The always-popular 100-Square Restaurant Raffle returns, featuring certificates and gift cards from Racine County eateries. In addition, 50/50 raffles will be held throughout the night, with proceeds directly supporting Racine Neighborhood Watch's crime prevention initiatives.
AmFund TRAVEL PACKAGES
New this year, attendees can bid on nine exclusive vacation packages through the American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund). The silent auction will feature trips for two, including destinations such as an African safari, Sedona, and Scotland. These packages come with no blackout dates, a three-year travel window, and personalized booking assistance from an AmFund Travel Specialist. Football fans won’t want to miss this! Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion Gilbert Brown will make a special guest appearance at the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Brown, purchase autographs, and sample his Grave Digga beer.
