Symphony of the Wild: An Expedition Through Wildlife

Desert Overture, Phoenix's Premier LGBT and Ally Wind Symphony, is performing Symphony of the Wild: An Expedition Through Wildlife on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. This concert will take place at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281. Tickets are $20 for adults; $15.00 for Seniors. There is a $5.00 surcharge for tickets purchased at the door. Kids are FREE, as well as high school students with identification. Tickets are available at: desertoverture.org.
Join Desert Overture as they bring the majesty of the animal kingdom to life! A wide variety of music will celebrate the beauty and wonder of creatures great and small.
"So much of music is inspired by the animal kingdom," said Scott Helms, Desert Overture Artistic Director. "The diverse music selections are designed to uplift and stimulate the audience."
Desert Overture, with its more than 50 musicians, was formed in 2010 and remains a hidden cultural gem in the Valley of the Sun. The concert band is an active member of the Pride Bands Alliance, which has grown to 37 member bands across the country, as well as internationally. The group performs several major concerts each year. Many Desert Overture members played instruments in high school and college and now enjoy producing quality music, along with friends in once-a-week rehearsals.
This concert is partially funded by a City of Tempe - Community Arts Grant.
