Summer Circus Celebration 2024
Friday, August 9, 2024 -- Sunday, August 11, 2024, 1930 - 1800
Join us at Kinetic Arts Center for this three-day, community building, annual circus festival. Summer Circus Celebration features 30+ circus skills workshops over two days, and two unique nights of performances celebrating the best of the circus community from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond! This year's event will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug 9-11, 2024.
On Saturday and Sunday, a workshop pass gains you access to nearly 30 workshops in an eclectic range of topics including: acrobatics, aerial chains, aerial silks, lyra, bullwhips, body mechanics, handstands, unicycling, flying pole, character development, Chinese pole, trapeze, mini lyra, photography, straps, stilting, and more!
Friday and Saturday evening, shows include acts from local and traveling professionals and young circus performers, primarily from the greater SF/Oakland Bay Area schools and studios. Each night is a different show. "Our goal is to host, grow, and make available as much of the Bay Area circus community as possible. The event is family friendly and inclusive and accessible to all." says Kate Hutchinson, Artistic Director. "We believe circus is for everyone and no one will be turned away for lack of funds!"

One or two-day workshop passes grant you unlimited access to workshop offerings. Tickets for performances are available on a Pay-What-You-Can basis on our ticketing site.
