Star Sapphire Festival - Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024

Don’t miss the Star Sapphire Festival at Momiji Health Care Society on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, from noon to 4:30 p.m. Hosted by the Toronto Japanese Garden Club (TJGC), this special event celebrates the 45th anniversary of our Nature’s Beauty show and we will transform the space into a lively Japanese-style festival packed with fun for the whole family. TJGC gratefully acknowledges support from the Community Fund of the Japanese Canadian Legacies Society to host this commemorative event.

View the stunning ikebana and bonsai displays and morning glory plant competition. Storyteller Rui Umezawa will present the story of Tanabata and live entertainment includes performances by Isshin Daiko taiko drummers and ten ten shamisen. Make a wish at our Tanabata wishing tree, shop in the marketplace or peruse the large assortment of plants for sale. Bring your friends and enjoy a delicious array of Japanese foods for sale in our tea room. Admission is $5 per person and children aged 12 and under are free.
