Each fall The Board of Visitors partners with area retailers, including Scottsdale Fashion Square, to present the Care Card program. The 10-day fundraising campaign rewards Valley residents while they shop to support local charities serving the healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly in the greater Phoenix area.

This year’s Care Card program will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 17, when Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center’s The BIG Pink Bus visits Scottsdale Fashion Square’s Office Plaza across from Shake Shack and Moxies. From 9 a.m. to noon, shoppers and guests can purchase Care Cards and tour the bus, which brings lifesaving, mobile 3D mammography to women across the Valley. Proceeds from 2024 Care Card purchases support the new mobile mammography unit Banner Health Foundation.

Shoppers can participate in this year’s Care Card program by purchasing a Care Card at the event on Oct. 17 or buying an eCard online for $60, then presenting it at participating retailers and restaurants at Scottsdale Fashion Square and across the Valley to receive 20% off regular priced merchandise and menu items during the 10-day shopping period, from Oct. 18-Oct. 27.

As an extra incentive this year, The Board of Visitors will conduct daily prize drawings during the 10-day shopping period. Those who purchase a 2024 Care Card will automatically be entered into the drawings. Winners will be announced daily on Care Card AZ social media accounts.

Scottsdale Fashion Square retailers participating in this year’s Care Card event include 7 For All Mankind, AG Jeans, Beach Bunny, Coach, Jimmy Choo, Johnny Was, Jo Malone London Boutique, Kate Spade New York, lululemon athletica, Madewell, Oliver Smith Jeweler, Pita Jungle, St. John Boutique, Tommy John, TravisMathew, Tumi, Untuckit, Vuori and Zimmerman.

“Scottsdale Fashion Square has been a proud partner of the Board of Visitors since the Care Card program launched 24 years ago,” said Melanie Sutton, Senior Marketing Manager of the upscale shopping center. “Each year the program gives us a meaningful way to make an impact for worthy causes benefitting women in our community, and we’re thrilled to add our support again this year by raising funds for The BIG Pink Bus and Banner Health Foundation.”
