Romford Evangelical Free Church Christmas Services
Sunday, December 17, 2023, 1830 - 1930
What does a traditional Christmas mean to you?
Maybe it is the memories of singing carols, eating mince pies and being with those we love the most. It might be putting up the tree and decorations, opening presents, enjoying a roast turkey with all the trimmings. Times when things were 'better' than they seem today.
This year the church is holding three services to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and Christmas.
The first event is the Carols by Candlelight service on the 17th December at 6:30 pm. This is a more traditional event, evoking memories of those past times, carols and a choir followed by a festive time with one another sharing conversation, tea or coffee and some warm mince pies.
Then there is our Family Carol service on the 24th December at 4:00pm. This service is set up especially with children in mind. A chance for us grown-ups to enjoy what it is for children to see the magic of Christmas, with singing, stories and a puppet show. Afterwards the children can enjoy some time with each other whilst the conversation over tea or coffee and mince pies flows.
Lastly join us on Christmas Day itself at 10am with a Christmas Celebration; a chance to celebrate the good news of what the Christmas birth started.
