Prism Concert "In Praise of Mary"
Sunday, May 26, 2024, 1500 - 1600
Enjoy music from many periods in history, played by brass quintet and organ, and sung by choir and soloists. Selections will be played in the style of a "prism concert", in that each piece is performed in immediate succession, emanating from different parts of the beautiful Shrine church, with its magnificent acoustics. From Gregorian chant (1st millennium) to Bach (18th century) to Callahan (21st century), music in Honor of Our Lady will culminate in a grand finale for all performers.
The concert is free and open to the public!
