Let Chef Kristen Schumacher, Culinary Director here at Carnation Farms, teach you how to preserve your seasonal foods at the height of their flavors and inspire your curiosity in the world of preservation and fermentation. You will learn the fruit to sugar to acid ratio for jams, how to get your quick pickles to burst with flavor, the differences between pickling and fermentation and what to look for in the process as well as how and what to dehydrate to build longevity to your food!

Fermented Ginger Carrots
Dehydrated Citrus Peels and how to use

Water Bath Technique, Pickles Vs. Ferments, Dehydration, Creating shelf stable preserves, pickles Vs. ferments, dehydrating as preservation, shared resources for ingredients and equipment

Seasonal jam, pickles
