POWER YOUR LEGACY YOUTH SEMINAR

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. (October 17, 2024) - Understanding estate planning is not only for the wealthy but for everyone. Teaching students from an early age to take control of their financial future is not only essential but vital.
Rise About Youth Center of Excellence, a 501c3 charity, and Power Your Legacy Youth Edition are teaming up to offer a free day seminar for high school students at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1601 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach 33406, on November 2, 2024, at 12:oo p.m.
By listening to professionals with expertise in various fields, students will understand the importance of managing their finances for future success. Topics will include the fundamentals of estate planning, wealth-building strategies, personal growth, and more.
Event Organizer Khalilah (Khay) Chatman says devastating family news encouraged her to learn more: "My journey into estate planning began after my father was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017, and we began this journey on what it means to plan, and I wish I had this knowledge sooner."
The event is free to students and their families; free lunch will be served.
In addition, in honor of Chatman's father, Walter Duntree James, Sr., one lucky student and their family will be awarded a free estate plan. The plan will include a Trust, Living Will, Power of Attorney, and Advanced Healthcare Directives. The service is valued at $4,500 and is sponsored by The Brammer Firm. Additional sponsors for the event include ECF Engineering Consultants and Florida Power and Light.
