OLLI at MSU Friday Forum: What's Happening in the 69th Montana Legislature?

BOZEMAN – The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Montana State University will host a virtual Friday Forum on March 14 titled "What's Happening in the 69th Montana Legislature?" The event will be held online via Zoom from noon to 1:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The event will feature a virtual presentation providing an overview of the citizen legislature structure, followed by updates on high-profile bills being considered in the current legislative session. The presentation will elaborate on the Legislature's procedures and inform attendees on how they can participate in the legislative process with public comment, testimony at committee hearings and more.
The March Friday Forum featured speaker will be JP Pomnichowski, who served two terms as a state senator, three terms in Montana's House of Representatives, and in Senate leadership as minority whip. Pomnichowski has lived in Bozeman for 40 years. She graduated from MSU, and has served on numerous city, county and neighborhood boards; environmental councils; the Montana Board of Labor Appeals; and more.
OLLI at MSU Friday Forums are held the second Friday of the month from September through May. Registration must be completed at montana.edu/olli or on Zoom on or before March 14 at 11 a.m. Upon registration confirmation, participants will receive an email with the Zoom link and instructions on how to join the program.
