New Year's Eve Comedy at Murphy's Taproom in Manchester: Bryan Muenzer, Tyler Hittner

Enjoy a New Year's Eve to remember as Scamps Comedy presents four great stand-up comics in the cozy, informal back pub at Murphy's Taproom, 494 Elm Street, Manchester NH.

Lineup: Eric Hurst hosts Bryan Muenzer, Tyler Hittner and Klia Ververidis.

Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door (cash only). Showtime is 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m.

Bryan Muenzer is tall in stature and short in attention span, so his jokes are mostly quick one-liners. Runner-up in the 2022 and 2024 "Funniest Comic in New England" competition, his sense of humor derives from a blend of being awkwardly tall and just plain awkward. Bryan was voted New England's Best Bar Comic in 2017 and regularly performs in Boston and New York City.

Rhode Island-based Tyler Hittner has made a name for himself in New England and New York City, where he's the comic-in-residence at the popular Broadway Comedy Club. Suffering from viral meningitis and relying on a walker has never stopped Hittner from lighting up stages. With his energetic stage presence, hilarious jokes and stories, Hittner is a force to be reckoned with onstage. His charisma, charm and likability allow him to connect with all types of audiences and leave them wanting more. In 2023, he won Maine's "Wicked Funny Laugh Off" competition, and he was named Motif Magazine's favorite live performer. He's appeared at the Rogue Island Comedy Festival, the Whale City Comedy Festival in New Bedford, Mass. and the Portland (Maine) Comedy Festival.

Eric Hurst was a featured act at the 2022 Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas. It was a good fit for Hurst, who has lived an interesting life as New Hampshire-turned-Los Angeles punk rock guitarist-turned-comedian. In the latter role, he has established himself as an affable-yet-edgy performer in two comedy scenes – in Massachusetts-New Hampshire-Maine and across the country in Seattle, Washington. He performs in clubs and bars around the region, frequently sharing the stage with visiting rock bands. He's also performed with heavyweight comedians including Robbie Printz, Tony V., Joe Yannetty and Juston McKinney.

Klia Ververidis is an emerging comedian performing in venues across New England. Ververidis is also an actor and has appeared in numerous shows including the roles of Mrs. Peacock in Clue and Klionice in Lysistrata with Neverland Theatre. She has also appeared on television on various shows including The Playboy Channel's Morning Show. She draws comedic inspiration from the 25 years she spent practicing law and as a show promoter for antique shows and events.
