New Year's Eve Comedy Spectacular at Murphy's Taproom and Carriage House
Sunday, December 31, 2023, 2030 - 2215
Say goodbye to 2023 with laughs and welcome 2024 with a New Year's Eve Comedy Spectacular on Sunday, December 31 at Murphy's Taproom and Carriage House, Bedford, NH.
The laughter will come loud and proud as powerhouse comedians Bob Niles, Amy Tee, E.J. Murphy and Eric Hurst star in an hilarious send-off of 2023. The show is presented by Murphy's and Scamps Comedy Productions.
Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 (cash only) at the door. All seats are general admission. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. Patrons are invited to make reservations for dinner in the restaurant before the show.
Bob Niles has been a popular comedian in New England for more than 25 years, headlining shows at comedy clubs, Elks clubs, Lions clubs, country clubs, Rotary clubs, and just regular traffic rotaries. He’s currently featured in Hard Hat Comedy shows, as one of three killer Boston comedians who spend the day working a union job on a construction site. Niles has lived an unusual life, and when he examines this life for people to see, the results are pure dynamite! Bob was just 20 years old when his first child was born, and his second child came when he was 46. What happened in between gets looked at and the results are hilarious. From the Woodstock-generation to the 21st century, Niles has been a confused observer and a baffled participant.
Amy Tee is one of the busiest comedians on the New England comedy circuit today. Whether performing in world famous comedy clubs, theaters, colleges, or at charity events, her edgy but subtle approach turns her personal tribulations into non-stop hilarity with mainstream and alternative audiences from Los Angeles to New York City alike. As an official presenter for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Amy Tee proudly uses her comedy act to serve as a mental wellness advocate. Mentioned in Curve magazine as one of the "funniest lesbians in America," and identified as a rising star by the Boston Globe, she is a regular performer at the Boston Comedy Festival and also featured on Sirius XM Satellite Radio and LOGO television network.
Vermont's E.J. Murphy has played top clubs all over and has built a reputation as one of the Northeast's consistently funny comedians. His comedy has appeared on MSN’s home page, Sirius XM, Audible’s Sounds Like America, and Rooftop Comedy's Daily 8. He has appeared in the semi-finals of The Boston Comedy Festival, The Oddball, Burbank, Asheville and Burbank comedy festivals, The Comedy Central Laugh Riots, and has even opened for Styx.
Eric Hurst was a featured act at the 2022 Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas and 2023 Bricks and Bridges Comedy Festival in Lewiston, Maine. The festival scene is a good fit for Hurst, who has lived an interesting life as New Hampshire-turned-Los Angeles punk rock guitarist-turned-comedian. In the latter role, he has established himself as an affable-yet-edgy performer in two comedy scenes – in Massachusetts-New Hampshire-Maine and across the country in Seattle, Washington. He performs in clubs and bars around the region, frequently sharing the stage with visiting rock bands. He’s also performed with heavyweight comedians including Robbie Printz, Tony V., Joe Yannetty and Juston McKinney.
