NAACP Installation of Officers
Saturday, January 4, 2025, 1500 - 1700
On behalf of the members of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Branch NAACP, we would like to invite you to the newly elected Officers’ Swearing-In and Installation Ceremony on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 3:00pm. The event will be held at Goler Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church located at 3894 Northampton Drive in Winston-Salem.
We will also pay special tribute to former Presidents of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, who have fought long and hard for social justice issues over the many years here in the Winston-Salem community. They are Bill Tatum, Alvin Carlisle, Jimmy Boyd, S. Wayne Patterson, Isaac Howard and Al Jabbar. The new leadership is prepared to forge into the future continuing the struggle with vision and purpose during these challenging times.
Please join us. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated as we come together as a community to continue the struggle for equal justice for people of color.
The NAACP envisions an inclusive community rooted in liberation where all persons can exercise their civil and human rights without discrimination. We are committed to a world without racism where Black people enjoy equitable opportunities in thriving communities.
For more information, contact Stephen Hairston, President-Elect at 336-767-3470.
