Mint Cannabis Hosts Free Mammogram Screenings at Two of its Metro Phoenix Dispensaries This Month

The free mobile mammograms will be offered at the Mint's north Phoenix dispensary (17036 N. Cave Creek Rd.) on Friday, Oct. 11, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at its Tempe dispensary (5210 S. Priest Drive) on Friday, Oct. 25, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
To make an appointment for a free professional mammogram exam, call (480) 967-3767. Walk-in patients are welcome, but appointments are preferred as a limited number of screening appointments are available.
As a result of COVID-19, more than 22 million cancer screenings were canceled or delayed, resulting in 80,000 missed cancer diagnoses. That number is staggering given that recent studies show that 1-in-8 women will develop breast cancer in their lives. Yet when caught early, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer is almost 100%.
Giving back to the communities it serves is a cornerstone of the Mint's culture. The Mint aligns itself with organizations that support health and wellness, families, and veterans.
The MOM unit will be set up in the parking lots of each dispensary. Additionally, Mint Cannabis will donate $1 from each pre-roll sold at its Tempe dispensary on Friday, Oct. 11 to Check for a Lump.
