Jazz at Meade is proud to welcome the Vaughn Ambrose Organ Trio for the first concert of the season. Vaughn Ambrose is a tremendously versatile artist who moves seamlessly from Big Band, Post Bop to R and B, Funk, and Western Classical music. Vaughn has an impressive resume of performances with such artists as Bob Mintzer and the Yellowjackets, Vanessa Ruben, Stephanie Jordan, Nnenna Freelon, Terrell Stafford, Jon Faddis, Carl Allen, Little Anthony and The Imperials, the Dells, Ashford and Simpson, The Spinners, The Temptations, Lou Rawls, Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight. You don’t want to miss this concert! Jazz at Meade is one of the area's most interesting and intimate live jazz venues and is regarded as one of the “best kept secrets” of the Alexandria music scene. Jazz enthusiasts from around the DMV gather at Meade Church monthly from April to November each year to enjoy afternoons of wonderful music, great conversation and refreshments.
