In our first week, we'll start with the basics. You’ll learn what a podcast is, explore different types of podcasts, and understand the potential impact of your voice on the world. We’ll dive into the essential equipment needed to start your podcast, covering everything from microphones to software. You’ll also get hands-on experience with recording techniques. By the end of the week, your assignment will be to brainstorm and think about the podcast you want to create. Week 2: Developing Your Podcast Idea
We'll share our ideas and work on producing the first episode.
This week, it's all about turning your podcast idea into reality. We’ll start by sharing our podcast concepts, giving and receiving feedback to refine our ideas. Then, we’ll move on to the production process, where you’ll learn how to structure your episodes, create engaging content, and plan your podcast's first episode. We’ll discuss the importance of intros, outros, and transitions. By the end of the week, you’ll have the blueprint for your first episode, ready to take the next steps.

Week 3: Recording on Stage
We'll record a 10-minute segment of your show from the stage.
Now it's time to bring your podcast to life! In Week 3, you’ll have the opportunity to record a 10-minute segment of your show on stage at Poduty Live's Podcast Theater. This is where you’ll put your learning into practice, experiencing the excitement of recording in a professional setting. We’ll cover tips for managing stage presence, dealing with nerves, and ensuring high-quality audio. By the end of this session, you’ll have your first recorded segment, capturing the essence of your podcast.
October 5
Week 4: Live Performance and Celebration
You'll perform your show in front of friends and family at the Poduty Live's Podcast Theater at Harrisons on Corbet.
In our final week, it’s time to showcase your hard work! You’ll perform your podcast in front of an audience of friends and family at the Poduty Live's Podcast Theater. This is your chance to shine and share your podcast with others. We’ll celebrate your achievements and discuss the next steps for distributing your podcast to the world. By the end of this week, you’ll walk away with a fully produced podcast, ready for distribution, and the confidence to continue your podcasting journey!
