Langtree Sinfonia concert at St Mary's in Wallingford, 11th November at 7.00 pm.

Popular local orchestra Langtree Sinfonia will perform Mozart's Impresario Overture, followed by his Oboe Concerto. Soloist is Catherine Underhill, who has performed at venues across the UK and Europe, including Southwark Cathedral, Cadogan Hall and the Mayflower Theatre. After the interval they will perform two of the most popular of Brahms's Hungarian Dances, nos. 5 and 6. Finally they will play Mendelssohn's 5th Symphony, 'The Reformation', well known for its stirring melodies. Refreshments will be available in the interval and raffle prizes will be offered. Langtree has been playing since 1971, and are currently under the leadership of Kevin Withell, who is based in Southampton, and conducts many musical groups in the area.
