Lane Harper, Power of Life Foundation - Vibe Check: Restoring Our Community With Love
Friday, February 14, 2025, 1000 - 1500
The Lane Harper, Power of Life Foundation, Inc. presents "Vibe Check: Restoring Our Community With Love” at Alabama State University (John Garrick Hardy Student Center) on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10:00am on Valentine’s Day.
This annual gathering, now in its fourth year, aims to foster unity and healing within our community, addressing pressing issues such as gun violence while emphasizing the importance of education, love, and literacy. The event will feature a dynamic Q and A session where community members can engage in meaningful dialogue about the challenges facing the Black community. Together, we will explore how we can build each other up through words of affirmation and character-building attributes, while also reevaluating the essential concept of self-love.
At the heart of this initiative is the profound idea of Agape Love—a selfless, unconditional love that seeks the best for others. This is the essence of what we hope to cultivate among students, staff, and community members. By embracing agape love, we can create an environment filled with compassion and support, where everyone feels valued and empowered. The Power of Life Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to uplifting all communities through encouragement and by providing essential items to those in need. At this event, we will distribute vital everyday living essentials such as soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent, clothing, socks, and face masks, ensuring that our community members feel cared for and supported.
In addition to these supplies, we are excited to offer information on job opportunities with Enterprise Mobility, including internships, full-time positions, and volunteer work for credit hours. We will also provide guidance on successful interview techniques, both in-person and online, to help our community members thrive in their professional endeavors.
We are grateful for the opportunity to host this impactful event once again at Alabama State University. We invite everyone—students, faculty, and community leaders—to join us in spreading love and compassion throughout Montgomery. Together, let us create a "vibe" that embodies what our world needs now more than ever: love, community, and compassion. Join us on February 14th as we come together to restore hope and resilience in our community. Together, we can make a difference!
Free event and open to the public. Share with family and friends.
