Her breakthrough album 'Carpe Diem' in 1994 went multi-platinum and her live album released in 1999 topped the French charts, whereby she was honoured at the World Music Awards in Monaco. Her first English language album in 2001 gained her international popularity, reaching No. 1 in the US Heatseeker chart and scoring the hit song 'I Will Love Again'. She continued touring across Europe and America and set up an ambitious project called 'Mademoiselle Zhivago', sung in 4 languages and written in collaboration with a Russian composer, creating tremendous success in Eastern and Northern Europe. Influenced by artists Jacques Brel, Barbara Streisand and Freddie Mercury, Lara Fabian has in turn influenced global superstars Dimash Qudaibergen who has covered her song 'Adagio' and Josh Groban who has recorded 'Broken Vow'.
