Kentucky to the World Presents: CAROL WYATT: 35 YEARS OF TV ANIMATION AND FILM
Wednesday, November 1, 2023, 1830 - 2000
As part of the Republic Bank Foundation Speaker Series, Kentucky to the World (KTW) is excited to welcome legendary film animator Carol Wyatt home to Kentucky for an exclusive live program about her renowned contributions to the world of animation on Wednesday, November 1, at the Speed Art Museum.
A native of Louisville, Carol will share how animation is a profound means of storytelling through color, allowing her to weave narratives through her artistic creations, bringing joy and wonder to her audiences through her work on shows, including The Simpsons, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, the Ricky Gervais Show, Over the Garden Wall, and Amphibia. Carol will be joined in conversation by Brooke Keesling, head of animation talent development at Bento Box.
Community members are invited to experience this engaging event on Wednesday, November 1 at 6:30 PM, with a light reception beginning at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $25 per adult. The program is free for local middle school through university-age students thanks to the support of the Bass Family Foundation.
Prior to the main program, KTW will also hold a special student briefing program at the Speed Cinema for local middle school through university-age students to have an opportunity for an interactive conversation with our distinguished guests. Contact David Thurmond at david@kentuckytotheworld.org for more information on the student briefing program and how to register your student.
