Learn about the science of keeping astronauts safe from NASA spacesuit / spacewalk expert Mallory Jennings, a Wichita native and WSU alum in mechanical engineering, (who is bringing a spacesuit). She has overseen 70 spacewalks. What a role model for youth!!
Also, the 2024 WSU NASA SUITS Design Challenge team, CosmoShox, will explain and demo their augmented reality (AR) headgear for astronauts which made them finalists in the 2024 NASA SUITS Design Competition. They are bringing extra for folks to try. Again, there will be role models from every discipline.
Also speaking will be NASA Solar System Ambassador Jeanette Bosch and Ad Astra Kansas board member Steve Durst.
Also included are free Hall of Space Museum passes for attendees. More details at http://www.adastra-ks.org .
