Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas' Women of Distinction Luncheon

For close to two decades, the Women of Distinction Luncheon has been a flagship event organized by the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. This highly anticipated gathering serves as a platform to recognize and honor individuals who have played a vital role in empowering and uplifting women and girls in our community. The funds raised through this impactful event contribute to the realization of the Girl Scout mission, which aims to nurture girls with courage, confidence, and character.

We invite you to join us at the 2023 Women of Distinction Luncheon, where we will come together in-person to celebrate remarkable women, men, and young leaders of all ages, ranging from high school students to accomplished adults. Their exceptional leadership, remarkable achievements, and outstanding contributions to the community serve as inspiration for young women to strive for excellence and make the world-from the classroom to the boardroom-a better place.

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 3, 2023, as the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas becomes the vibrant venue for this year's Luncheon. We look forward to bringing together over 1,000 like-minded individuals who share a common desire of investing in a girl-led future. Last year's event was a tremendous success, with tickets being sold out, and we are confident that our community will rise to the occasion once again to extend their support to the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas.

The event co-chairs, Peggy Meyer and Carmen Yung, will be leading the proceedings with the support of our host committee led by Andrea Weber and Kim Williams. This team of leaders are eager to recognize the exceptional Women of Distinction and the Man Enough to be Girl Scout honorees. These honorees have been carefully selected based on their tireless efforts in championing opportunities for girls and women in our communities and workplaces. Additionally, the Mary Anne Cree Young Women of Distinction Award will be presented to Girl Scout Gold Award recipients who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership through projects that have made a positive and enduring impact on local challenges, while also addressing national or global issues.

The Women of Distinction Luncheon is not only a celebration of achievements but also a call to action. By attending and supporting this event, you can become a champion of girl ambition and contribute to cultivating a society that promotes gender equality and provides young women and girls with the tools and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
