Funhouse Comedy brings another outstanding day of comedy to the covered beer garden stage at The New Barrack Tavern, Sheffield on Sunday July 21st with its second Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer.

2.00pm – Philip Simon – Shall I Compere Thee in a Funny Way?
His crowdwork videos have consistently gone viral all over social media (@PhilipsComedy) so join this award-winning MC and comedian for a hilarious mix of brand-new jokes and witty audience chat. As well as regular appearances on TV and radio, Philip performs comedy all over the world. He won the 2023 Pegasus Comedy Best Compere award, came 2nd in the UK Pun Championships 2020, has written material for Mock the Week and NewsJack, and his brilliant one-liners and off-the-cuff quips are sure to keep you entertained throughout.

3.25pm – Martin Mor – Three Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty Nine Weeks.
If you live to 80 years old, you will have lived for about 4,000 weeks. Irish comedian Martin has already had 3,129 of his! Did he spend them wisely and what is he going to do with the 871 bin days that he has got left? A new hour of stand-up comedy. 'Uproariously funny... Mor is a wonderful entertainer and provider of many insights on life' (ThreeWeeks). 'If we could all live our lives more like Martin Mor, the world would be a much better, happier place' (Fest).

4.50pm – Patrick Monahan – The Talkinator.
It's the year 2024. A lot of talk about AI taking over humans. Only one man can out-talk the chat-bots and robots. One hour of stand-up comedy written by a human, performed by a human... Fringe-favourite Patrick Monahan is back! 'I defy anyone who was there not to leave with a smile on their face. You just have to have a good time' **** (One4Review.co.uk). 'A definite must see!' **** (Edinburgh Festivals Magazine). 'Hilarious without being outrageous' ***** (ThreeWeeks).

6.15pm – Diane Spencer: Sweet and Sore Live Tour
Do you take a dangerous mole to the doctors or the vets? Dangerous moles, fudge-making and the meaning of life feature in this brilliant new stand-up comedy show from comedian Diane Spencer.
"Sweet and Sore" is her tenth show and is touring around the country. Diane’s humour is cheeky, self-deprecating and involves storytelling but is always light hearted, silly and packed with punchlines. Diane works in comedy clubs up and down the country so this is adult humour, and not recommended for the more genteel or younger folk. Sit in the front row, laugh along, you won’t be picked on and you might even get to try some homemade fudge.

7.30pm – Nina Gilligan – Goldfish.
Join multi award-winner Nina Gilligan for her hilarious hour of stand-up, Goldfish. Memory loss, health anxiety, goldfish-related trauma. Things you need to remember and the thing you can't forget. As heard on BBC Radio 4 and voted Best Club Comedian (Chortle.co.uk), Nina is described as a 'bolshier Mrs Merton' (Skinny) and known as 'a vivacious, life embracing performer, with a cheeky, ready wit' (Scotsman).

8.45pm – Dawn Bailey and Anthony Williams - Solo Show – As told by two people
When you met your future spouse in Maths class, how do you cope with dating, paying the bills and coping with life as a newly single 40+ year old? An hour of joke-heavy storytelling with a twist by two people living lives they never planned.
Dawn Bailey is one of the circuit's hottest properties. A regular at comedy clubs up and down the UK, she has been described as the female Peter Kay.
Anthony Williams is a natural storyteller who performs at clubs and festivals all over the country.
"Infectious joy" – Notts Comedy Review. "A very funny lady" – BBC.
