Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Leek November 2023
Thursday, November 2, 2023, 2000 - 2300
Funhouse Comedy Club is back at Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday November 2nd for another night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is the intelligent and likeable Nick Doody who whilst still a student, supported Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK, on Bill's request. Very popular on the comedy circuit he also writes for many popular TV comedy shows including 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Have I Got News For You, Rude Tube and for a variety of guests on Mock the Week. His perceptive wit and sharp retorts are delivered with mesmerizing warmth.
Opening the night will be the charming comedian, actor and writer Alistair Barrie. Travelling all over the world to perform he has appeared at the world's highest gig on a mountain in France and on a boat in the middle of the North Sea. With his riotously acerbic, achingly funny diatribe he persuades his audience to be part of his world, leaving them wanting for more.
Also appearing is winner of Funhouse's Should I Stay or Should I Go competition and semi-finalist in British Comedian of the Year, the up-and-coming Jacob Nussey who draws in audiences with his low-status, surreal, and often dark style.
Completing the line-up will be the sharp and laid back Max Poole relating his hilarious tales.
Compere for the night is the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone's face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life & friends.
