Funhouse Comedy brings a great night of laughter to The Garage, Chilwell (Barton’s) Nottingham on Friday February 14th.
Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.
Opening the night will be the charismatic and highly talented Sony Award winner, Tom Wrigglesworth, comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist who has had two series’ on BBC Radio 4. An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales, told with true passion never fail to captivate everyone.
Also appearing is Jamie D’Souza with his mix of short stories, one liners, unique and catchy musical combinations, delivered with an instant likability and an understated confidence.
Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for 4 years running and co-star of the ‘The ParaPod Movie’ who enthrals the crowd with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit.
