Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Ashby-de-la Zouch December 2024

Funhouse Comedy Club brings another line-up of top comedians to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday December 5th.

Topping the bill is the energetic and satirical writer and comedian Geoff Norcott who recently won a BBC Radio and Music Award for Best Comedy Production and has many TV credits to his name, including Live at The Apollo (BBC 2), The Mash Report (BBC2), Question Time (BBC2) and Comedy Bigmouths (C5). He delivers an eclectic mix of dark material, impressions and politics with a confident smile and optimism. His shrewd standpoints on life make his anecdotes extremely captivating and leave his audiences wanting for more.

Opening the night will be comedian and character actor Jo Enright, who has appeared alongside Peter Kay in 'Phoenix Nights', with Steve Coogan in 'I'm Alan Partridge' and most recently seen playing the part of 'Angela' in ITV Sitcom 'The Job Lot'. A naturally gifted comedian who entices you in with her detailed observations to build up the picture, maximizing every laugh with the tiniest nuances. Turning a pun in to a story worth sharing is something that she exceeds at and she has no qualms about poking fun at herself to earn a good laugh.

Completing the line-up is the amiable and modest Alex Hylton who charms the room with his mix of one-liners and laid back tales.

Compere for the night will be the amiable and animated Spiky Mike.
