Holiday craft fair coming to Sterling
The annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts and Crafts Show will be held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Church, 6 Meetinghouse Hill Road, in Sterling center. Holiday and gift items will fill the main hall of the First Church. Look for signs in the main hall for directions to two additional rooms.
The items at this juried fair are handmade by local craftspeople and artists. The unique offerings include dish gardens and planters, terrariums, jewelry, beeswax skin care products, painted wine bottles, cards, vintage caned chairs, wool felted trees and decorations, pottery, a variety of handmade wood items, alpaca products, knitted items, quilted items, toys, soy candles, jams and jellies, baskets, windchimes, handbags and wallets, handmade ornaments, hair accessories, scarves, aprons, beach pebble and glass art, wreaths, floral decor, paintings, resin art, Zentangle, American doll clothes, calligraphy, art and potion bottles, fairy houses, luminaries, sculpted bottles, soaps, photo boards, cozies, rope bowls, trivets, coasters, table runners, and dish towels.
The fair will also feature a raffle and lunch cafe. Wrapped cheese will be offered for sale, and a bake sale will include cookies, bars, and tea breads.
