Wed Nov 01 (7:30pm-12am/Free Entry) - Live In the lounge drops a new monthly series of Improvisational Sessions hosted by the well funked up, afro, jazz and beyond improv Quintet FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT (Live) deep in the lounge. FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm performing 2 live sets
"Freedom Of Movement" are a London based improv collective exploring infinite rhythmic and melodic possibilities. Joining the dots between Afro-Jazz, Afro-beat, Funk and beyond, the heavyweight line-up includes sax player Ben Hadwen (Emanative/Phil Ranelin), guitarist Jon Speedy (The Boom Yeh/Jally Kebba Susso), drummer Joey Agyeman (Ibibio Sound Machine) and bass player Matteo Grassi (Mulele Matondo/Jally Kebba Susso).
GW JAZZ
Gordon Wedderburn is one half of the couple behind GW Jazz, a grassroots organization supporting Jazz, particularly emerging talent in London. Through his live event residencies, radio show, selector/dj activities and clothing brand, they've collaborated with and supported some of the biggest names on the London Jazz scene including, Sons of Kemet, Camilla George, Zara McFarlane, Ben Hayes, Nubiya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Lokkhi Terra, Dele Sosimi, Robert Mitchell, Collocutor, Tomorrow's warriors and Ezra Collective.
