Fine Art - Spring Show And Sale 2025 - Irondequoit Art Club

The Irondequoit Art Club (IAC) will hold its 65th Annual Spring Show and Sale May 3 through May 11 at the Summerville Presbyterian Church, 4845 St. Paul Blvd., Irondequoit, NY 14617. IAC members Judy Peterson, Joe Gentile, and Phyllis Rodi are Co-Chairs. Admission is free. Credit card sales will be accepted. The site is accessible to all. Best of Show, Juror and Merit Awards will be presented to those pieces deemed noteworthy by professional artist judges. This year's judges are Diane Castle Babcock and Laura Wilder. Diane Castle Babcock has been a linoleum block printing artist using the reduction method for about fifty years. She has received awards at the Clothesline Festival, Corn Hill Art Festival, Artists Row, and Colorscape Chenango and is a juried member of the Roycroft Arts and Craftsmen Guild. Laura Wilder, has been a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan specializing in block printing for about 30 years. Laura has won many awards and prestigious commissions. Her works can be viewed at laurawilder.com. Artist awards will be presented during the Opening Reception on Saturday, May 3 from 2 to 5 PM. As in previous years, there will be a "Meet the Artists Day" on Saturday, May 10, beginning at 1 PM. Several artists will speak for up to 10 minutes about their entries and answer questions. This will be a unique opportunity to gain insights into the artist's process in terms of inspiration, artistic journey, background, and techniques. There will be a Popular Vote Award determined by art show visitors who will have the opportunity to cast ballots during the run of the show. The winners will be determined after show's end.
