Dressed to Dream Prom Dress Giveaway
Saturday, April 19, 2025, 1000 - 1400
Dressed to Dream, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every young woman has the opportunity to attend prom in style, will host its annual Prom Dress Giveaway on Saturday, April 19, 2025. This year, the event is bigger than ever, with 200 brand-new prom dresses available, along with a variety of gently used gowns, ensuring that students find the perfect dress for their special night.
In addition to providing free prom dresses, Dressed to Dream will hold a special drawing at the event to sponsor the complete prom look for three lucky students, covering their hair, makeup, and nails to help them feel truly glamorous on their big night.
The giveaway will take place at Southfield Missionary Baptist Church from 10-2 , offering a wide selection of formal gowns in various sizes and styles. Students in need of a dress are encouraged to attend and select a gown at no cost.
“This event is about more than just dresses; it’s about confidence, empowerment, and making sure every student feels beautiful on their special night,” said Marlene Drayton-Stevenson, Founder of Dressed to Dream. “With 200 brand-new dresses this year and the opportunity to sponsor the full prom look for three students, we’re making prom dreams come true for even more young ladies.”
Students must present a valid school ID or proof of enrollment to receive a dress. No pre-registration is required, and dresses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If a student needs a dress before April 19, they are encouraged to contact (706) 631-7556 for assistance.
Dressed to Dream is also accepting donations of new or gently used formal dresses to help expand its selection. Those interested in donating, volunteering, or learning more about the event can visit www.dressed2dream.com or reach out via phone or email.
