Dr. Bettina Love, an award-winning author and education activist, will present a program on teachers' and students' fight against the injustices caused by decades-long educational reforms, at 7 p.m. April 16 at Union Baptist Church, 1200 Trade St., Winston-Salem.

Dr. Love holds the prestigious William F. Russell Professorship at Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2022 she was recognized by the Kennedy Center as one of the Next 50 Leaders who is making the world more inspired, inclusive, and compassionate.
