Multi award-winning comedian Ian Smith (BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and co-host of the Northern News podcast) will appearing on the forthcoming series of Live at the Apollo scheduled to be aired February 2025. His 2023 show Crushing was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, (ISH) Comedy Award, Next Up's "Biggest Award in Comedy" and a Chortle Award. It transferred to Soho Theatre, where the run was extended, followed by a UK tour and 10 dates at New Zealand Comedy Festival. It was listed as one of the Guardian's Top 10 Comedy Shows of 2023.
