Children's Living History Day!
Saturday, August 10, 2024, 1000 - 1600
Sarah Masters Buckey, author of "Enemy in the Fort", published by American Girl, will be at the Fort at No 4 at 11 am to speak with children and their caregivers about writing historical novels and how real events at the Fort at No 4 inspired her book! "Enemy in the Fort" is an exciting historical mystery for children, and its set right here at the Fort at No 4. Copies of "Enemy in the Fort" will be available for purchase and signing!
Hands on living history activities will be happening throughout the day, including historical dress up, Corn Husk Doll making, butter churning, spinning and weaving, 18th century games, food preservation, visit with the school Master, and so much more! Make it - Take it opportunities to share!
