Celebrating Life Luncheon featuring Jim Caviezel, Hosted by Council for Life Central Texas
Tuesday, May 14, 2024, 1200 - 1330
All are invited to The Council for Life Central Texas Celebrating Life Luncheon held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in the Brazos Ballroom at the Waco Convention Center.
The featured speaker is actor Jim Caviezel who portrayed Jesus in The Passion of the Christ and most recently starred in the highly successful film Sound of Freedom. Mr. Caviezel both affirms life with his words and lives out his beliefs of cherishing every life.
The Honorary Chair is Drayton McLane, Jr. Mr. McLane serves as chairman of the McLane Group and is the former CEO of the Houston Astros Baseball Club.
For the last three-plus decades, McLane has been one of Baylor’s largest and most dedicated benefactors. He and his family have supported numerous endowed scholarships and helped make possible some of the campus’ most iconic structures of the last half-century. The bells in Pat Neff Hall, the McLane Student Life Center and Baylor’s football stadium all bear his and his family’s name.
The annual Celebrating Life Luncheon raises awareness and funds for Council for Life Central Texas’ outstanding life-affirming beneficiaries. These agencies do life-saving work related to the complex issues that surround unplanned pregnancies. They serve the most vulnerable in our community with compassionate care through Pregnancy Resource Centers, Abortion Pill Reversal, Adoption and Foster Care, Maternity Homes, Post-Abortion Support, Parenting and Life Skills Education, Youth and College Mentoring, Sexual Risk Avoidance and Targeted Media Outreach.
The Luncheon promises to be filled with inspiring stories and opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the Central Texas community.
