Neal Barr’s collection of personal photographs and posters are featured in this auction alongside a number of his original fine art images taken from his 43-year career in fashion and advertising photography N.Y.C. His images are celebrated by collectors and exhibited at the Staley-Wise Gallery NYC, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of New York and recently showcased at the Ventura County Museum
Neal Barr Studio Ltd. opened in September of 1962 in New York City and specializing in fashion and beauty for magazines and advertising. Contributing photographer to Harper's Bazaar 1966-74 - Revlon, Cover Girl, Max Factor, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Neutrogena, Clairol, Vanity Fair), Lily of France, Maidenform, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, Lord and Taylor, Christian Dior, Cardin, Halston, and Faberge.
His latest project “1920’s Fashion’s most influential decade.” Two-volume Book featuring his own collection of 1920's vintage fashion is now available. Barr's images are established in the fine art field and are regularly exhibited at the Staley-Wise Gallery in New York, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of New York and purchased by collectors worldwide.
