Auditions for Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun at Fauquier Community Theatre May 30 and June 1

AUDITIONS for the first show of the Fauquier Community Theatre 2024 - 2025 Season! The musical "Annie Get Your Gun" is the highly fictionalized story of Annie Oakley, one of the world’s most famous sharpshooters. Written by Irving Berlin and Herbert and Dorothy Fields, the 1946 musical celebrates her stormy, competitive relationship with Frank Butler, a dashing vaudeville marksman, as they tour the country as the stars of “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.”
The show boasts classic songs by Irving Berlin, a brand new revised book by Peter Stone and direction and choreography by Graciela Daniele (Ragtime). The score features some of Irving Berlin's most beloved songs, including "There's No Business Like Show Business," "You Can't Get A Man With A Gun," "Doin' What Comes Naturally" and "Anything You Can Do."

The musical is directed by Jeff Walker with music director Doray Walker. The production is by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
Audition Dates:
THURSDAY MAY 30, 2024: 7 pm to 9 pm
SATURDAY, JUNE 1, 2024: 10 am to 2 pm
Auditions are registered for in advance in 20-minute intervals.

Auditions will take place at Fauquier Community Theatre located at 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton, Virginia. All roles are by audition and open to the public. Roles are all volunteer and unpaid.

Performances for "Annie Get Your Gun" (Stone Version) will take place on Fridays and weekends from Friday, September 13, 2024 - Sunday, Sept 29, 2024. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees are at 2 pm. Tickets are on sale at www.FCTstage.org. Choose your favorite seating choices today!
