St George's Day Celebration
Come to Salisbury Cathedral to enjoy an evening of music on St George's Day. Producer: John Underhill MBE
The oldest continuously serving regular regiment in the British Army. As part of the Household Division, one of its principle roles is the protection of the monarchy. Director of Music: Major Justin Teggarty
Guest Artists:
Louise Innes is a mezzo-soprano who was born in Salisbury and studied at St. Antony's Leweston in Sherborne, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio.
The Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir. The aim of the choir is to create a community focal point; through song, it is hoped that the ladies find fun, friendship, support and a vehicle to raise money for charity.
The Chelsea Pensioners will help with the retiring collection and can be seen in the audience.
Souvenir Programmes will be available on the night along with a Raffle, the raffle will be drawn at the end of the performance. The Band will have their CD's on sale. Please bring cash to help raise as much money as possible for The Royal British Legion.
Booking details
Tickets are available from the Cathedral website and box office priced at £15-£45. Children under 18 are free in the unreserved seating area only and must attend with an adult.
