"A Gift for Emma" Holiday Production

Now in it's 25th year of production, the Denton City Contemporary Ballet and Denton Dance Conservatory join forces once again to bring you "A GIFT FOR EMMA!" This is a heart-warming story of a young orphan girl who wishes, beyond everything else, to be a dancer. When she is blown into the dance studio by the powerful “Arctic Wind,” she encounters a world where all of her favorite toys dance! In Act 2, she enters "The Garden of Dreams," and meets beautiful butterflies, scary spiders, faeries and pixies! Her Guardian Angel leads her across "The Sea of Miracles," through Waves, Seaweed, past Mermaids, Jellyfish, and even Poseidon himself! She finally arrives at the "Palace of the Snow Princess," where she wishes upon a star, and receives the Gift of Dance! Artistic Director, Ms. Racina-Torre has combined the delight and joy of the holiday season with the wondrous imaginings of her childhood in this FANTASY IN DANCE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!
